Caring Caps is extremely proud of one of our branches based in Dover, Delaware. The branch is based at Holy Cross School. Started by Reagan Garnsey and Montana Johannsen, with help from Reagan's mother Angela Garnsey, this branch was started in September of 2014. They are already off to a great start.
Holy Cross has so far distributed items to: AI DuPont Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, World Vision Knit for Kids Hat Initiative, Alex's Lemonade Charity, UDance and B+Positive Foundation, as well as an Alopecia support group.
In addition, this branch was also featured in a Delaware newspaper. The article is linked here.
Overall, we are overwhelmingly proud of everything Holy Cross has accomplished, and I know that this is just the beginning. It's so exciting to see how much young people can accomplish when they set there mind to it. Below is three photos of the branch in action. The first is of Elizabeth Zink delivering hats to Al DuPont House. The second is of the Holy Cross branch knitting, and the final picture is of the active volunteers at the branch.
We are excited to see what the Holy Cross School of Delaware branch will accomplish in 2015! Go Crusaders!
